The capital of the company is divided between the first founders, the Université Joseph FOURIER, the CNRS and the Ecole Normale Supérieure de Lyon. Furthermore, an increase in capital has been possible with a venture capital investor, SOFINNOVA, who's just invested in the company in order to increase industrial as well as technological development and reinforce the team.

Based on its patented electrowetting technology, Varioptic introduces the first commercially available electrically controllable optical lenses.

Zooms

The combination of various Varioptic tunable lenses enables the development of Zooms with no moving parts.

Based on volume and specification, custom products can be proposed and developed.
