Missions We design and commercialize liquid lenses (patented technology) with direct electrical control, for industry and research. We develop solutions for specific applications, adapted for any kind of mass production. We also develop a standard line of lenses (prototypes, small series, pre-series) which can be used for tests in a perspective of technological evaluation before industrialisation. Skills, origins of the technology The Varioptic technology is directly issued from a 10 year research at Université Joseph Fourier and at Ecole Normale Supérieure de Lyon .... The founder and inventor of the technology is Bruno BERGE, former researsh scientist at CNRS (National Centre for Scientific Research) and then Professor at Ecole Normale Sup�rieure de Lyon. The present team is composed of research scientists, engineers, technicians, who gather skills in science, industrial techniques and marketing development. Investments The capital of the company is divided between the first founders, the Universit� Joseph FOURIER, the CNRS and the Ecole Normale Sup�rieure de Lyon. Furthermore, an increase in capital has been possible withe a venture capital investor, SOFINNOVA, who's just invested in the company in order to increase industrial as well as technological development and reinforce the team.
