Creative Sensors Inc., Taiwan - August 2006
Varioptic and Creative Sensor Inc. signed a production deal in August 2006 to build the first mass production line for liquid lenses. This production line is installed in Creative Sensor’s manufacturing site in Wuxi, China, and began operation in December 2006. Production quantities in Wuxi include Varioptic’s new 7.75-mm lenses, Arctic 416, aimed at camera phones, as well as the previously introduced devices, Arctic 320, for use in webcams, barcode readers and medical equipment.

Supertex Inc. - March 2008

Supertex (Sunnyvale, Calif.) and Varioptic have developed a complete low footprint liquid lens and driver solution to add auto-focus capability in cell phones and PDA cameras, barcode readers and laptop cameras, biometric scanners and ultra compact cameras.

Sunny Optics
Sunny Optics based in Zhejiang (China) has developed a liquid lens auto focus camera module – AFCM OV290 -  using Omnivision OV2640 2 megapixel sensor coupled with Sunny’s optics and Varioptic’s Arctic 416 liquid lens.  At 9 x 9 x 7.1 mm, the camera module is one of the smallest 2MP AF camera modules in the market.
