Following the successful release of the Arctic 416 lens, designed to fit low footprint camera modules, Varioptic has developed a slimmer lens particularly suited to meet the current trend towards slim-line camera phones. The Arctic 414 lens will enable camera module and camera phone manufacturers to leverage the advent of higher resolutions sensors and provide enhanced mobile imaging user experience, thanks to DSC-like quality pictures. The new thinner Arctic 414 liquid lens offers an un-matched response time and allows much simpler auto focus strategies that can be applied to obtain sharp and crisp focus in under 500 ms. Varioptic’s latest auto focus lens is the perfect fit for high resolution miniature camera modules and is ideally suited for the new generation of mobile phones.
