Revolutionary Liquid Lens demonstrated to Nicolas Sarkozy and Christine Lagarde during their official visit 

 Lyon (France) – July 3rd, 2007 - Varioptic, the liquid lens company, confirmed today the visit of Nicolas Sarkozy, President of the French Republic, and Christine Lagarde,  Minister of the Economy.

During the official visit, which took place on Friday 29th June, Nicolas Sarkozy and Christine Lagarde received a demonstration of the first autofocus liquid lens camera module - the AFCM MI285.   The camera module has been developed using Varioptic’s latest auto focus liquid lens – Arctic416 – particularly well suited to current camera phone design trends.

The visit was followed by a panel discussion regarding the new French taxation proposals for start up companies and was attended by several investors, financial institutions, national and regional government officials. “We are very proud to welcome the French President and the Minister of the Economy.
